California

Sorry, all the pics are going to be out of order because they keep getting deleted when I try to edit the post. I am sure you'll be able to figure out where we were.

Carousel at Fashion Island

We had a wonderful time in California. It was a busy week, but we were able to visit friends and family, take the boys to the beach, and spend three days at amusement parks (Legoland and Disneyland).
We stayed at the Hyatt in Newport Beach which was the perfect location. We were close to the beach and right across the street from Fashion Island. The heat was a little unbearble for the first few days, the worst being the first day at Disneyland. Not only was it hot, but also humid. My hair was a mess the entire trip. By the end of our trip, it had cooled down considerably and was very pleasant.

The boys really enjoyed California, and Tyler said he wants to live there. Sure, it we could live by the beach! CA definitely has a lot to offer, but I think we'll stick to the beauty and cleanliness of Washington.
Mini Land at Legoland. This was Tyler's favorite area of the park. It's amazing what can be built with legos and how much work goes into it. I get frustrated with little lego models, so that would take some patience.

The park was decorated for Halloween. Very cute!

Indiana Jones

More Halloween decorations. The skeletons were everywhere.

The mummy picture cracks me up! Connor wouldn't get near it.

Jim in a few more years! ;)

Carousel at Fashion Island. Tyler's favorite animal is a panda, so he was pretty excited!

Mini Cypress Reunion at Bistango
Dinner with Sheila, Deb, and Laura (the party planners)

Laurie, Lori, Kim, and Me
With Heather. We have known each other since elementary school!

With Nicole. So happy she came from Vegas to see us! :)

With Whitney, my old partner in crime! ;)

My Cawthon Elementary girls, Melanie, Stephanie, and Madelyn.

Friends since elementary school!

Seal Beach. It was cold, but we saw dolphins playing in the ocean and pelicans diving for food.

We spent two days at Disneyland. The first day was packed and Laura and I waited two hours for Space Mountain. The park was really cute with all the Halloween decorations and The Haunted Mansion was amazing with how it was transformed into A Nightmare Before Christmas.
Connor wasn't going for the rides at first. I think we traumatized him after Splash Mountain. He didn't like the hill at the end, so every ride we got on, he would use the excuse that he either had to go to the bathroom or was going to throw up. He was much better by the second day, but I am sure he was also being brave in front of his cousins.
Tyler did well on the rides, but hated Big Thunder Mountain. He got off and started crying. Good thing we didn't take him on Space Mountain!
